Ride 'Til I Die by George Thorogood & The Destroyers
About the album Ride 'Til I Die
The album Ride 'Til I Die was released on March 25, 2003, by Eagle Records and was the twelfth studio album by George Thorogood & The Destroyers. The album follows the artist’s familiar sounds, combining blues rock and boogie rock, elements of slide guitar blues and hard rock, as well as several influences from rock-a-billy and country.
The recording of Ride 'Til I Die took place in 2002 at Rumbo Recorders in California. The production saw the experienced Jim Gaines (known for his work with Santana on Supernatural) collaborating with The Delaware Destroyers. The album includes thirteen tracks, which are mainly covers of classic blues and rock 'n' roll songs, along with some original compositions. The songs American Made, Devil in Disguise, Ride 'Til I Die, and Sweet Little Lady stood out.
According to Billboard data, the album achieved significant success in the specialized charts: It reached No. 2 on the Billboard Top Blues Albums and No. 49 on the Billboard Top Independent Albums. Although it did not reach the platinum numbers of their earlier successes (like Bad To The Bone), it is considered one of the strongest albums of their later period.
