Bad To The Bone is an album full of blues rock and boogie songs, recorded by George Thorogood & The Destroyers at Dimension Sound Studios in Boston in 1981 and part of 1982. It was released in the market sometime in mid-1982 and became one of the most commercially successful albums of the band from the State of Delaware.
George Thorogood and the Destroyers' fifth album starts with a composition by Thorogood, Back To Wentzville, with which its creator wants to pay tribute to his great mentor, Chuck Berry. Bad To The Bone is his next composition which gave the album its title and became one of the most iconic songs of his entire career. Lastly, Miss Luann was Thorogood's third composition. The remaining seven songs are covers of hits and songs by other songwriters.
Bad To The Bone reached No. 43 on the Billboard and No. 11 on the Canadian charts, achieving the highest position ever reached by George Thorogood & The Destroyers on that particular chart with any of their albums.
