About the album This Year's Model

In 1978, Elvis Costello released his second album titled This Year's Model, with which he continued to build his legend. The album was recorded between December 1977 and January 1978 at Eden Studios in London. The producer of This Year's Model was Nick Lowe.

Musically, the album is a mix between punk rock, power pop, and garage rock. The first two singles, (I Don't Want To Go To) Chelsea and Pump It Up, were successful and propelled the whole album to reach No. 4 in the United Kingdom.

This Year's Model is considered and is one of the best and most flawless albums of Costello, overflowing with inspiration as the artist's creative mood is more than evident in almost every song on the album.
