About the album The Long Run
The initial idea was for The Long Run to be a double album, but the band ran out of ideas as a massive tour (11 months in 1977) had previously taken place due to the success of the album Hotel California.
Despite the difficulties in recording it – it took 18 months (!) – the album must have exceeded 9,000,000 copies in sales worldwide over time.
