About the album On Every Street

In 1991, Dire Straits returned to the recording scene with On Every Street after more than 6 years. The album immediately became a success in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia. However, it would be their last recorded work.

The album was promoted through a 14-month tour.

Musically, it is dominated by elements of rock, blues, country, jazz, and the distinctive whispery voice of Mark Knopfler.
