Making Movies by Dire Straits
About the album Making Movies
After the end of the Communiqué tour, Mark Knopfler isolated himself for the first half of 1980 and composed the songs for Making Movies, the third studio album of Dire Straits. The band changes producer and collaborates with Jimmy Iovine.
This will offer the album's sound something more contemporary and fresh, while the keyboards of Roy Bittan will also play a significant role in shaping the final outcome.
The album will win over the audience, selling nearly 3,000,000 copies worldwide, and will establish at least two songs in the group's setlist, Tunnel Of Love and Romeo And Juliet.
