About the album The Last In Line
The second album by Dio was a significant event in 1984 for the world of heavy metal. Ronie James Dio's band returns after the success of the previous year's Holy Diver and does not disappoint all those who believed in the effort made by the former singer of Elf, Rainbow, and Black Sabbath to prove that he can have a career on his own.
Ronie James Dio takes on the lyrics of all the songs and the production of The Last In Line. The music is shared among Dio and the others. In this album, the keyboardist Claude Schnell makes his debut appearance.
The album became a commercial success in the USA and the United Kingdom. Its sales have exceeded 1,000,000 and it is the second most successful album of the band.
