About the album The Def Leppard E.P.

The Def Leppard E.P. by Def Leppard was released in January 1979 and marked the explosive recording debut of the legendary British band.

The EP was recorded in November 1978 at Fairview Studios in Hull, England. The band paid just £148 out of their own pockets for the two days of recording sessions. It was produced by the band themselves alongside sound engineer Roy Neave. The EP's sound is raw, energetic, and epitomizes the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement, blending heavy riffs with melodic vocals.

The Def Leppard E.P. features three tracks: Ride Into The Sun, Getcha Rocks Off, and The Overture. The EP became an instant success in underground circles. Renowned DJ John Peel played it on BBC radio, skyrocketing their fame.
