About the album High ‘n’ Dry
High 'n' Dry marks the beginning of the group's collaboration with producer Robert "Mutt" Lange, who shaped their sound and adapted it to what was happening at that time in the "Hard Rock" scene. High 'n' Dry is the second album by Def Leppard.
Def Leppard's founding member, guitarist Pete Willis, would record for the last time with the group - despite starting recordings for Pyromania. The rest of the band had to let him go due to his severe alcoholism, which prevented him from functioning.
Two singles were released from the album: Let It Go and Bringin' On The Heartbreak. In Britain, it reached No. 26, while in the U.S., it has sold 2,000,000 copies over the years, reaching No. 38.
