About the album Wheels Of Fire
The third album of Cream is released in 1968 and is titled Wheels Of Fire. Unlike the previous album of the group, which was prepared in a few days, Wheels Of Fire will take an entire year to be recorded. Wheels Of Fire is a double album. The first disc contains studio recordings, while the second disc is recorded live. The album was also released on two single vinyls.
Wheels Of Fire is a work of Eric Clapton on guitar, Jack Bruce on vocals and various other musical instruments, and Ginger Baker on drums. The producer of the album was Felix Pappalardi, who also played viola in some songs. The album may be a blues rock record, but it is a work where psychedelia overflows. After all, the psychedelic trend starts from the cover, which was a work of the Australian cartoon designer Martin Sharp.
This specific album also pushed the musical matters at the end of the decade toward a harder sound. The singles from the album were White Room and Crossroads.
