Chicago XXV: The Christmas Album by Chicago
About the album Chicago XXV: The Christmas Album
Chicago 25: The Christmas Album was released in late summer of 1998 and was an album that brought Christmas closer that year (!) The twenty-fifth album of Chicago is dedicated to the Christmas celebration, but it differs significantly from the majority of similar albums as the entire rendition of the songs is framed within the jazz rock context of the band. Excellent work was done by Roy Bittan in the production of the album.
Among the fourteen songs on the album, the only one that is new is Child's Prayer, which is performed by the then lead singer of Chicago, Jason Scheff, and a children's choir. What Child Is This?, Little Drummer Boy, Silent Night are some of the songs that one can hear on Chicago 25: The Christmas Album. The album reached No. 47 on Billboard and remained for seven weeks in the Top-200.
In 2003, the album was re-released with six additional songs. This time the title was changed to What's It Gonna Be, Santa?
