About the album Chicago 17
The fourteenth album by Chicago titled Chicago 17, which was released in 1984, was the ultimate commercial triumph for the band from the state of Illinois. On the other hand, it was also the last album in which Peter Cetera, singer, composer, and one of the founding members of the group, participated.
Chicago 17 is an album that mainly moves in the musical style of soft rock, highly adapted to the pop trends of the mid-1980s. Its producer was David Foster. The album received a significant boost from its first single, Stay The Night, which was accompanied by one of the most characteristic video clips of the 1980s, with incredible continuous airplay from MTV and beyond.
Despite selling 6,000,000 copies in the U.S., Chicago 17 reached No. 4 on the Billboard chart.
