About the album Dylan
The thirteenth studio album by Bob Dylan is simply titled Dylan. The album contains absolutely no compositions by the songwriter. It is an album full of covers of contemporary songs of that time, such as Can't Help Falling In Love or Big Yellow Taxi by Joni Mitchell.
Bob Dylan had recorded all these songs for his albums Self Portrait and New Morning, which were released in 1970, but ultimately were not included in those records. The producer of the album was Bob Johnston.
Dylan is one of the weakest albums in Bob Dylan's entire career. The record reached No. 17 on the Billboard and is the only album by Bob Dylan that failed to enter the UK charts.
