Blur is a British rock band formed in 1988 in London. Initially known for combining indie rock and shoegaze, the band consists of Damon Albarn (vocals, keyboards), Graham Coxon (guitar, vocals), Alex James (bass), and Dave Rowntree (drums). Blur is considered a significant presence in the revival of the British guitar sound of the '90s and played a decisive role in the britpop music movement, along with bands like Oasis and Pulp. With albums such as "Parklife" (1994) and "The Great Escape" (1995), they elevated the profile of the British music scene internationally. Blur's music incorporates diverse elements, from pop and rock to electronic and cabaret, and they continued to evolve stylistically over the years.
