About the album Eat To The Beat
Eat To The Beat is the fourth studio album by the American new wave band Blondie. This album has incorporated the dominant American pop music trends of the late '70s while maintaining a punk approach in some songs, such as the album's title track.
This particular album has the distinction of being the first album for which a music video was made for each of its songs (!) - a practice that was abandoned soon after by companies for economic reasons. Eat To The Beat contains some of the group's most successful songs, such as the singles Union City Blue and Atomic.
As an album, it reached No. 17 in the U.S. and was Blondie's second consecutive album to climb to the top in Britain, where it sold 500,000 copies.
