About the album Strikes
The Blackfoot was a band from Florida fully integrated into the "Southern rock sound" of the 1970s. Their third album titled Strikes became their most commercially successful effort, and the Highway Song played a role in that.
Strikes was an album that proved its value over the years, as it wasn't until 1986 that it reached 1,000,000 sales in the U.S.
When it was first released, it reached No. 183, while in 1986 it climbed to No. 42 on Billboard!
