Blackfoot
Group
Blackfoot is an American rock band formed in 1970 in Jacksonville, Florida. Although their style incorporates elements of southern rock, they are known for their hybrid approach to hard rock and blues rock. The band's name comes from the Native American heritage of the band's leader, Rickey Medlocke, who is part of the Blackfoot tribe. The band enjoyed great success in the 1970s and 1980s with hits like "Train, Train" and "Highway Song." Despite changes in their lineup over the years, Blackfoot remains active and continues to tour and produce music.
