About the album Go Away White
Go Away White is the fifth and final studio album by the pioneers of gothic rock, Bauhaus. Although the recording was completed in 2006, the album was finally released in March 2008. It is the first material from the band after 25 years of silence, as well as their definitive "goodbye," as they broke up immediately after its completion due to internal tensions.
Musically, the album moves between their classic dark sound and more glam rock or experimental paths. Tracks like "Adrenalin" and "International Bulletproof Talent" recall the energy of Love and Rockets, while "Zikir" incorporates oriental elements. The recording of the album was done in just 18 days in Ojai, California. The band chose a spontaneous approach and production, often using the first takes as final, which gave the sound a raw and "live" feel.
No tour was held to promote the album, as the band had already announced their breakup before its release.
