About the album Stranger Than Fiction
The story of the Californians goes back to 1980, the year they were formed. However, it took fourteen years and eight studio albums for them to become known to a wider audience. Thus, the album "Stranger Than Fiction" of 1994 would become the album that would bring them success, at least in the USA and Canada.
The success of "Stranger Than Fiction" is due to the resurgence of public interest in punk rock in the first half of the 1990s. The album consists of fifteen songs, some of which are compositions by Brett Gurewitz and others by the singer Greg Graffin. The production of the album involved the members of the band, as well as producer Andy Wallace.
The 500,000 copies the album sold in the United States seemed like an incredible number for a band that had been operating in rather underground music circles for many years of their career.
