We’ve Come For You All by Anthrax
About the album We’ve Come For You All
In 2003, five years had passed since the last recording work of Anthrax concerning a studio album of the thrash metal band from New York. Much had changed in those years, and in the world of metal, the trends of nu metal, alternative metal, and groove metal had prevailed.
With their album, We’ve Come For You All, Anthrax seems to adapt and fully harmonize with these trends. The album is filled with groove metal and indeed of “excellent quality.” The album began being prepared in the summer of 2001. With compositions like Taking The Music Back, which is also the lead single of the album, Refuse To Be Denied, or Safe Home, Anthrax proves that they could still dominate the metal scene at the beginning of the twenty-first century. The album also contains two surprise collaborations. The first is the participation of Pantera guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott on Strap It On and Cadillac Rock Box, and the second – the bigger one – is the participation of Roger Daltrey of The Who (!) on vocals in Taking The Music Back. This particular album was the last recorded for Anthrax by singer John Bush, who had been in the band for ten years.
The album did not manage to achieve the commercial appeal it deserved. The No. 122 on Billboard is telling. With the exception of Anthrax's debut, which did not enter the Top-200 in America, this release by Anthrax reached the lowest position on the Billboard of any other album by the band.
