About the album Cowboys From Hell
Cowboys From Hell was the fifth studio album for Pantera. They had Terry Date in production, with whom they continued their collaboration for other albums in the '90s.
The group from Texas achieved the unexpected in 1990 with this fifth album of their career: recognition and sales. (2,000,000 copies in the U.S. alone). The success of Cowboys From Hell kept Pantera on tour for almost two years.
Pantera owe their great success to the fact that they left their glam metal era behind once and for all and threw themselves into groove metal, for which they became pioneers. Cowboys From Hell is one of the most important and influential albums in the heavy metal scene, as it renewed the sound of this particular genre.
