If You Want Blood You've Got It by 2 Live Crew
About the album If You Want Blood You've Got It
If You Want Blood You've Got It is not just a live album; it is the sonic imprint of a lightning bolt hitting the earth. It was recorded on April 30, 1978, at the Apollo Theatre in Glasgow during the tour for Powerage. The choice of location was not accidental: AC/DC returned to the Scottish roots of the Young brothers, facing an audience so explosive that they were forced to come out for an encore wearing the jerseys of the Scottish national team (!)
At the helm of production were Harry Vanda and George Young, who managed to capture on vinyl the raw, almost dangerous energy of Bon Scott and the demonic playing of Angus. The cover became iconic: Angus Young impaled by his own guitar, a bloody depiction of their sacrifice on stage. The tracklist is a "best of" from the early period, including anthems like The Jack, Whole Lotta Rosie, Let There Be Rock, and High Voltage.
It is considered one of the greatest live albums of all time, the pinnacle of the Bon Scott era, and the moment when hard rock found its most honest and "dirty" expression. The album reached No. 13 on the UK charts and went platinum in the USA, solidifying their reputation as the ultimate live band.
