About the album Tone Loc - Loc'ed After Dark

The rapper and actor Anthony Terrell Smith, also known as Tone Loc, will surely remember 1989 as one of the best years of his life due to the success of his debut Loc'ed After Dark. No.1 in the U.S. and 2,000,000 copies sold in the U.S. alone.

It is the first Hip-Hop album by a black artist to reach the top of the Billboard.

The album cover imitates the cover of A New Perspective (1963) by jazz trumpeter Donald Byrd.
