Dream Harder by The Waterboys
About the album Dream Harder
The sixth album by the Waterboys in 1993 will be released under the title Dream Harder. In reality, it is a Mike Scott album, as none of the members of the Waterboys from previous works participate in the creation of the record. Mike Scott collaborates with American session musicians, as the album was recorded in New York.
Through the twelve compositions of the album, Mike Scott attempts a return to his rock roots, leaving behind the Celtic approach that the two previous Waterboys albums had. This seems clear with songs like The Return Of Jimi Hendrix (!). The two singles that stood out from the album were The Return Of Pan and Glastonbury Song, which reached No. 24 and No. 29 on the UK charts, and the truth is that they have been the last such successful singles of the Waterboys in their homeland. The album was produced by Mike Scott and Bill Price.
Dream Harder reached No. 5 in the United Kingdom and No. 171 on the Billboard.
