About the album Our Favourite Shop
The duo of Paul Weller and Mick Talbot, also known as Style Council, released their second album titled Our Favourite Shop in 1985 and managed to knock Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits off the number 1 spot (!)
The album was released in the U.S. under the title Internationalists and reached No. 123!
Most of the lyrics revolve around the social situations that preoccupied British society in the mid-1980s, primarily stemming from Thatcherism which had become firmly established.
