About the album Sam's Town

The Killers returned in 2006 with the second album of their career, titled Sam's Town. The album consists of twelve new compositions, with the primary songwriter being the group's frontman, Brandon Flowers, who aimed to showcase the main musical influences he grew up with when writing the songs.

For this reason, under the veil of alternative rock, the listener of the album can discover elements ranging from new wave to heartland rock. There were four singles from the album, with Read My Mind standing out the most. The production of the album belongs to Flood.

To promote the album, there was a world tour that started in August 2006 from Las Vegas and concluded in November 2007 in Melbourne (!) Sam's Town was a worthy successor to Hot Fuss as it dominated the charts of many countries, and its global sales have exceeded the number of 5,000,000.
