The Killers were formed in Las Vegas in 2001, and three years later they presented their debut, Hot Fuss, an album with which they would achieve massive success in the USA and Europe.
The sound of Hot Fuss is largely based on synth-pop, but there are also elements of new wave and dance music.
The album sold close to 7,000,000 copies worldwide and is rightfully placed among the best albums of the '00s decade.
