About the album Have A Good Time But Get Out Alive!

The Iron City Houserockers, a six-member band from the state of Pennsylvania, specifically from Pittsburgh, appeared in the discography in the late '70s. "Have A Good Time But Get Out Alive!" from 1980 was the band's second studio album. It was recorded at Mediasound studios in New York.

The album's first producer was Steven Van Zandt, guitarist of the E-Street Band, who produced five songs and then departed due to musical differences with Mick Ronson and Ian Hunter, who took over the production of the rest of the album. The musical style of the album centers around the typical American rock sound of that era, but one end of the musical style is in hard rock and the other in heartland rock.

"Have A Good Time But Get Out Alive!" is a typical case of an album that received critical acclaim, but ultimately the public did not respond to it. It did not manage to secure a position even in the Top-200 of Billboard. Despite its limited commercial appeal even on American soil, the album as a whole is a very valuable and pleasant listen.
