About the album Machine Gun Etiquette

The album Machine Gun Etiquette by the British band Damned is a raw punk-rock dynamite. The Damned present their third album in November 1979, exactly two years after their previous album.

What impressed with Machine Gun Etiquette was the presence and blending of the punk sound with different musical genres, such as hard rock, progressive rock, and even psychedelia. Among some distinguished guests rushing to assist Captain Sensible and his crew, we find Joe Strummer and Paul Simonon of the Clash and Lemmy of Motorhead, who plays bass on the cover of Ballroom Blitz, which was used as the B-side on the album's second single, I Just Can't Be Happy Today. The first single was Love Song. The album also includes a cover of Looking At You by MC5.

The album reached No.31 on the UK charts and sold over 60,000 copies.
