About the album Songs The Lord Taught Us
In the debut of New Yorkers Cramps in 1981 with the imaginative title Songs The Lord Taught Us, one discovers what happens when you combine punk rock and rockabilly.
The couple Lux Interior and Poison Ivy – and probably the rest of the band – almost seem to try to learn to play their musical instruments during the recording of the album.
This particular record is so cult that it ends up being essential in someone's record collection as a classic. Garbageman and the cover of Fever stand out.
