About the album Dogg Food

The duo The Dogg Pound consisted of the rappers Kurupt and Daz Dillinger, who were among the first to sign with Death Row. The year 1995 is when they released their debut titled Dogg Food. The album was produced by Daz Dillinger, but the mixing was handled by Dr. Dre.

Dogg Food is considered and is the last album of the G-Funk era of Death Row. The album features Snoop Doggy Dogg on two songs, one of which is New York, New York, which was also the first single from the album.

The album sold 278,000 copies in its first week of release and eventually reached 3,000,000.
