About the album Brave New World
Thirty-one years before Iron Maiden named the return album of their classic lineup, the Californian Steve Miller Band had adopted and used the title Brave New World for their third studio album, a highly blues rock and psychedelic record clearly influenced by the mood of the time and region.
The album was recorded somewhere between the Sound Recorders studios in Los Angeles and the Olympic studios in London. Most of the songs were composed by Steve Miller and Ben Sidran. In the song that closes the album, My Dark Hour, which was also the only single from the album, Paul McCartney participates (!)
Brave New World reached No.22 on the Billboard.
