About the album Swass

Sir Mix-a-Lot from Seattle appeared on the hip hop scene out of nowhere. His debut titled Swass made an impression in the underground circles of the hip hop scene. Swass was a highly experimental project based on what was called electro-funk music.

The standout song was the cover of Iron Man by Black Sabbath with the help of Metal Church. Although this particular cover did not attract the interest of the broader audience, it should be counted among the efforts to unite the musical genres of hip hop and heavy metal music.

According to Sir Mix-a-Lot, the album Swass was nothing more than a joke. Ultimately, Swass is one of the most cult hip hop albums of all time.
