The Sex Pistols were an influential British punk rock band formed in London in 1975. Despite their short career, they decisively influenced the development of the punk movement. The band's lineup included Johnny Rotten (vocals), Steve Jones (guitar), Paul Cook (drums), and initially Glen Matlock (bass), who was later replaced by Sid Vicious. They became known for their provocative performances and lyrics, as well as their influential discography, with the album "Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols" being considered a classic of the genre. Their intense non-conformist attitude and spectacular live performances significantly contributed to the spread of punk culture worldwide.
