Fables Of The Reconstruction by R.E.M.
About the album Fables Of The Reconstruction
R.E.M. decide for their third studio album to have Joe Boyd take on its production. The band moves to Livingston, London, and from February 1985 to April of the same year, they record their third album, which will be called Fables Of The Reconstruction.
The formation of R.E.M. continues to move in the same musical style as their two previous records. Jangle-pop is dominant, while elements of alternative rock, alternative country, and even psychedelic rock are present in the eleven compositions of the album, all of which are signed by all the members of the band.
The commercial impact is greater, thus leading the album to No. 35 in the UK and No. 28 on the Billboard.
