About the album In The Skies
Peter Green, after a nine-year absence from discography (!), returns with his second solo album titled In The Skies. In The Skies is an album in which Green unfolds his talent on the guitar and composition. Musically, the album moves between blues rock and rock.
Guitarist Snowy White and keyboardist Peter Bardens also played their part, so that Peter Green could create one of the best, if not the best, albums of his solo career. The recording took place in the fall of 1977, but the album was released in April 1979 because at that time Peter Green was involved in a legal dispute with his accountant, who accused Green of threatening him with a gun to give him money.
The one and only single from the album was the title track In The Skies, but no one can ignore the instrumental Slabo Day, which was also quite heard at the time of its release, as well as years later. The album was produced by Peter Vernon-Kell.
