No Rest For The Wicked by New Model Army
About the album No Rest For The Wicked
The band of Justin Sullivan, namely New Model Army, released their second studio album, No Rest For The Wicked, in 1985. The album was full of post-punk compositions mainly written by Sullivan, but with the support of the other two members of the band, bassist Stuart Morrow and drummer Stuart Morrow.
What was impressive about the New Model Army and their second album was the fact that solely thanks to their previous year's debut, they found themselves recording for the multinational EMI from Abstract Records (!). This - to their credit - did not change anything in their music or the themes of their song lyrics. The two singles from the album were the songs No Rest and Better Than Them.
No Rest For The Wicked reached No. 22 in the United Kingdom, which was a significant improvement from the No. 73 of their first album.
