New Model Army is an English rock band formed in Bradford in 1980 by singer and guitarist Justin Sullivan. The band became known for the political themes in their lyrics, the combination of various musical genres such as punk, folk, and rock, as well as their energetic live performances. Since its inception to the present day, New Model Army has released numerous albums, with "Thunder and Consolation" from 1989 considered one of their most significant works. The music and message of the band continue to influence and inspire many artists and listeners.
