The Naughty By Nature from New Jersey released their second LP in 1991, titled after their name, and managed to become one of the most significant names in the East Coast hip hop scene in the U.S. in the early 1990s. Naughty By Nature was released by the Tommy Boy record label.

The production of the album belongs to the three members of the group as well as "Little Louie" Vega. The album's great success was the first single O.P.P., which stands for the phrase "other people's pussy." As a single, it sold 2,000,000 copies in the U.S. (!). Everything's Gonna Be Alright was the second single of the album, which used as sampling the famous phrase from Bob Marley's No Woman No Cry. Another interesting presence on the album is that of Queen Latifah and her voice in the song Wickedest Man Alive.

Naughty By Nature went platinum in the U.S. and Canada, selling 1,000,000 and 50,000 respectively,
