Loveless  by My Bloody Valentine

The Irish band My Bloody Valentine are releasing their second studio album three years after the release of their debut, and following the release of three EPs (!). The album will be titled Loveless and will be released in November 1991.

Loveless is one of the most masterful albums of noise rock and noise pop music, and is one of the last albums that could be included in the musical movement and trend known as shoegaze, before it faded from the British musical scene. In Loveless, My Bloody Valentine push the concept of the music category they serve to its limits, and it's impressive that rhythm is not missing from the songs. The album was received with raving reviews from the overwhelming majority of music critics. The songs Only Shallow and When You Sleep stood out as singles. The album cover is a blurry photograph of an electric guitar and fully captures the sound of the entire album.

The album was My Bloody Valentine's greatest commercial success. It reached No.6 in Ireland and No.7 in the United Kingdom, where it sold 100,000 copies and went gold.
