About the album Grinderman 2

Grinderman 2 is the second and final studio album by the band of the same name, which is a side project of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. It was released on September 13, 2010. It was recorded in London in 2009 at RAK Studios, State of the Ark, and Assault & Battery. The recordings were based on spontaneous improvisations and live performances in the studio, with the vocals recorded simultaneously with the music.

The album combines alternative rock, noise rock, blues rock, and garage rock. It is more experimental and psychedelic than their first album, with strong elements of improvisation. The album cover depicts a wolf wandering in a room, an image that reflects the threatening and "beastly" energy of the record. It was designed by Ilinca Hopfner. The main singles were Heathen Child, Worm Tamer, and "Palaces Of Montezuma."

The album Girinderman 2 reached No. 14 in the United Kingdom, No. 38 in the United States of America, and No. 9 in Australia.
