Songs About Fucking  by Big Black

The Big Black from the state of Illinois had decided to disband even before recording their second album. Thus, Songs About Fucking was doomed to become the last album of this so extreme yet simultaneously creative band.

The thirteen songs of the initial release of the album are the epitome of electric guitar distortion. The album belongs to the genre that will rightfully be called noise rock, but one clearly discerns industrial elements here as well. Songs About Fucking - as expected - sparked discussions because of its title, but things got even worse if one delved into the lyrics that spoke raw truths about modern Western society.

One of the standout tracks is the cover of The Model by the German Kraftwerk, where they manage to transform an electronic music song into something so noisy, while at the same time it continues to impress and retain its meaning as a song.
