About the album Muddy Waters Sings "Big Bill"
Strangely enough, Muddy Waters Sings "Big Bill" in 1960 was the first complete album released by Muddy Waters at the age of 47, despite the fact that his first recording is from 1941 and is the single Country Blues / I Be's Troubled.
Muddy Waters gathers here ten songs by Big Bill Broonzy, who had died two years earlier, interprets them in his own way, and thus pays tribute to one of his greatest influences.
The album was recorded between June and August 1959 in Chicago and was released by Chess Records. Muddy Waters has transformed the original compositions and dressed them with the electric sound of Chicago blues.
