About the album We Are Motorhead
Motörhead recorded the fifteenth studio album of their career in Germany and the USA. The title they chose for it is the obvious one: We Are Motörhead. The album was released in May 2000, while its recording took place the previous summer. Motörhead presented a predominantly heavy/speed metal record with the sole exception of the song One More Fucking Time.
If anything stood out in We Are Motörhead, it was the cover of God Save The Queen by the Sex Pistols (!), a song that became the album's first single. The second single was the album's title track. Designer Joe Petagno created the album cover, wanting to pay tribute to death and black metal bands, which from time to time declared themselves fans of Motörhead.
We Are Motörhead reached No. 91 in the United Kingdom.
