About the album Sacrifice
The twelfth studio album of the band Motorhead was marked by the departure of guitarist Michael Richard Burston or simply Wurzel. Thus, from the next album, Motorhead would become a power trio once again after eleven years of functioning as a quartet. The producer of the album was once again Howard Benson, with whom they had collaborated on Bastards in 1993.
Sacrifice was recorded at Cherokee Studios in Hollywood in 1994, but it was released in March 1995. The album overflows with heavy metal to the fullest. It is likely one of the heaviest albums by Motorhead. The album cover - another work by Joe Petagno - caused a stir as there are some genital organs present in some places.
There was no single from the album. Sacrifice did not receive the best reviews when it was released.
