About the album Rock 'n' Roll
The eighth album by the British band Motorhead was Rock 'n' Roll. The album was released in 1987. This particular album was an effort by Motorhead to be heard in the U.S.A. Rock 'n' Roll was recorded with Philthy Animal Taylor on drums since Lemmy had fired Pete Gill because the latter was causing tensions with the rest of the group.
The album offered two or three songs that would later appear on compilations or live recordings. Among them are the title track, Eat The Rich, and Traitor.
The album did not achieve much, not even in the UK, where it reached No. 34. In retrospect, we can say that Rock 'n' Roll was a landmark album for Motorhead as Lemmy moved to California and the recordings of the subsequent albums were done in the U.S.A.
