About the album Bad Magic
On August 28, 2015, "Bad Magic," the twenty-second studio album by Motörhead, was released. Exactly four months later, on December 28, the soul and cornerstone of the legendary band, Lemmy, passed away. Thus, "Bad Magic" became Motörhead's final album as Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee immediately—and to their credit—made it clear that the band's end had also come.
"Bad Magic" as an album consists of thirteen heavy compositions. Twelve of them are new songs written by Lemmy and the other two, and a surprise cover that closes the last official Motörhead album, the cover of "Sympathy For The Devil" by The Rolling Stones. The album's great moment—obviously looking back—is "Till The End," a song with which Lemmy apparently wanted to bid farewell to all those who followed him on his journey. The album's producer was Cameron Webb, with whom the band had been collaborating for about the last ten years.
Motörhead’s last album reached No. 35 on Billboard, a position that is the second highest achieved by their albums in the USA (!) The great success of "Bad Magic" came in Germany, reaching No. 1 with sales of 100,000 copies.
