About the album Altars Οf Madness
The Morbid Angel from the State of Florida, having behind them a six-year journey in the field of extreme metal, managed in 1989 to release their debut titled Altars Of Madness, which caused an earthquake in the space of death metal, which at that time had begun to take shape.
Many were those who said that after Altars Of Madness, Slayer and Venom sounded like a "children's choir," wanting to emphasize how extreme things were in the compositions of this particular album. The producer of the album was the Englishman Digby Pearson, but also the members of the band.
The 67,485 official sales of the album in the U.S. obviously cannot lead to the conclusion that the album was a commercial success (!)
