David Wyndorf has described the ninth studio album of Monster Magnet as a return to the roots, and indeed their 2013 Last Patrol was a distillation of psychedelic space-rock.
Last Patrol did not find a response in the USA since its sales in the first week of release reached only 2,300 copies.
Monster Magnet turned to Europe, where the album performed better.
