About the album Load
In 1996 – after a five-year recording absence – Metallica returned with their sixth studio album, Load, a comeback that would draw a lot of negative comments. The sound in no way resembles the thrash metal group of the previous decade.
Apart from the change in sound, which resembled more of a hard rock band than a heavy metal band, the logo of the band's name was also changed as it appears on the cover.
Nevertheless, it sold well, exceeding 7,000,000 worldwide. The production was done by Hetfield, Ulrich, and Bob Rock.
